Alexander's Technology and Dino's Days of the Week
Awesonme job with your Days of the Week. Keep up the great work, Dino. |
This is a spider car and it has eight legs and it is mini sized. It has mandibles at the front which are used to get poison into the bugs so then it can eat the bugs. The bugs are like the petrol that make the car go. It also has a little point at the back that shoots the silk out to make the web.
Ratu - Tuesday - Hair Day
It has been lovely catching up with everyone on Google Meets and getting to see your smiley faces.
I think everyone is out of the Learning Pit with learning how to switch their microphones on and off for talking time and listening time. This makes it easier to hear the speaker, as the microphones pick up all the other background sounds and voices.
I will email the link to your parents at 9:55am for the 10:00am meeting and !:55pm for the 2:00pm meeting. Please wait until 10:00am and 2:00pm before you join.
Today we have these students sharing -
10:00 - Tejaswini, Alexander, Ruby
2:00 - Blake, Maddie, Orlando

In the kitchen with Mrs Smaill
These are olives from our Olive trees in the garden. Watch my Teacher video tomorrow morning and I will show you what I am doing with them. Watch this space!!! |
Look at these delicious Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins. I made these at lunchtime today,
so they don't take long to make.
so they don't take long to make.
Charlotte tasted one and said they are
the best I have made, just right!
I don't like cooked bananas, so I will
take her word for it. I got this recipe from
Nadia Lim's Comfort Cooking show.
The recipes are on the TVNZ site for you to use.
They would make a great treat for Mum on
Mother's Day or an afternoon snack for yourselves.
Toby's Home Learning with his Grandparents
I'm glad you enjoyed learning about how
craters are made.
It looks like you have some expert helpers
there with you.
Yes, it was a very full moon last night. I went outside to see it too because the sky was lit
up so brightly!
I look forward to hearing about your interesting story tomorrow
at the Live Google Meet.
Gosh, you must have a lot of Dinosaurs to make a row
measuring 1.2 metres.
Kai pai - keep up the awesome learning.

Tejaswini's Home Learning
Wow! What beautiful work you have created Tejaswini.
I can see that you are very creative. A talented artist, I think.
Did you enjoy the Hop Scotch game that I suggested? I remember
playing this when I was a child. It teaches you a lot of skills like -
counting in order, balance, throwing and aiming skills too. Not to
mention practising how to hop on one leg. I love the Maths activities
as well. Fantastic setting out of your work. I think we should try
that game back at school with collecting the right number of objects.
Dino and Edward taking up the challenges
Edward in Jedi training.
So cool !!
I see you have been very busy in your Lockdown bubble. I like your yellow
t-shirt, the colour looks good on you. It reminds me of my son wearing his bright yellow Phoenix soccer fan shirt.
Craters and Faces of the Moon - teacher chat
Today, you might like to check out the Inquiry Slide, number 13.
I have included some cool experiments that you might like to try that related to our
questions about Space that we wanted to explore more as a class.
Remember to keep your beautiful work so that you can share it back in the classroom
and I can display it on our classroom walls for others to enjoy.
Today, is the start of our Google Meets, very exciting!!!
It is more new learning for me. I am stretching my brain, using my GROWTH GEM again.
I hope I will be out of the learning pit and everything goes successfully with
the link up.
Look forward to seeing you today at 10:00 or 2:00.
