Gracie and Luca out and about!

Cute photo of you and Luca scootering. Yes, it has been very windy and stormy lately.

I'm glad that you could have a sleepover at your Grandparents house. That must have

been lots of fun.

Fun Friday 21st August

Have you been practising your Handwriting lately?
How about visiting Slide 9, activity 2 sbout writing a Recipe.
I know most of you enjoy eating food and this is a fun activity
where you can make some food and record the recipe with pictures and words.
Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend with your whanau.

Lucas and Max sharing their home learnng.

Sounds like and looks like you are having lots of fun with Max.
You are very clever with your painting.
Thank you for having a go with the Semaphore flags.
Maybe you could bring them to school later so that we could practice sending messages.

Pirate Toby!!

Wow! I see Pirates Toby and Eleanor have been very busy with their home learning.

I like how you have completed a variety of learning like the Maths, Art, Drama, Technology and

Written Language. Did you show Grandma how to use the robot arms to spell out the words?

COMMUNICATION

Thank you Lydia for sharing and practising your learning about COMMUNICATION. The POSTCARDS you made your friends, are amazing!

Lydia shared her learning about COMMUNICATION            with our class. Lydia made POSTCARDS with                  kind positive messages to her friends.

Mrs Smaill tried to buy a Post Box for our classroom but they had all sold out so Lydia kindly solved the problem for us.   She made a POST BOX to put all our class postcards in.

And Laela made a lovely POSTER with pictures and stickers to share give to her friend Alexander.

These are all ways of sharing COMMUNICATION!

Toby's Home Learning with his Grandparents

I'm glad you enjoyed learning about how
craters are made.
It looks like you have some expert helpers
there with you.
Yes, it was a very full moon last night. I went outside to see it too because the sky was lit
 up so brightly!

I look forward to hearing about your interesting story tomorrow
at the Live Google Meet.
Gosh, you must have a lot of Dinosaurs to make a row
 measuring 1.2 metres.
Kai pai - keep up the awesome learning.

Tejaswini's Home Learning

Wow! What beautiful work you have created Tejaswini.
I can see that you are very creative. A talented artist, I think.
Did you enjoy the Hop Scotch game that I suggested? I remember
playing this when I was a child. It teaches you a lot of skills like -
counting in order, balance, throwing and aiming skills too. Not to
mention practising how to hop on one leg. I love the Maths activities
as well. Fantastic setting out of your work. I think we should try
that game back at school with collecting the right number of objects.

Laela's Activities

I love the colour of your Police car.
Yes, Police work very hard in our communities and they are very important.

This is a great selection of your favourite movies.
I think Frozen 1 and 2, have been a big success and are favourites with lots of children.

Blake's Fantastic Learning

Your story writing Blake has improved greatly.
I can read it very clearly.
What I miss most about school is seeing my lovely smiling student faces.
It's a very cute picture with the sunshine and the rainbow.

Clever Lucas

You are very clever Lucas using Lego
to make Iron Man.

What a cute picture and story of you, Dad
and Max playing soccer.
I bet you had fun and used up some
of that energy.

Farewell Arianna

A Pebble person.
Arianna's Alphabet Hunt

Arianna's pebble family. They are very cute.

We are sad to say good-bye to Arianna but wish her all the best with her new house and school at Meadowbank.

Orlando made this for his mum practising
his Sunnyhills GEM - Empathy.
Lovely, Orlando.

Art and Crafts with Laela and Jaxon

Wow Laela. You and Jaxon are both so creative!
I love your Bubble Activity book. It will be a fantastic
record for you to keep and share with us back at school.
I wonder what flowers you are going to grow in the painted pots.
It would be great to see a photo of the finished result.
Do you have a place to hang up the colourful hats and jellyfish?

Lockdown Diary from Lydia

Hi Lydia

Dino's Home Learning

I am pleased that you enjoyed my video Dino.
It is new learning for me so I have been in the learning pit recently and are now out the other side, having sucessfully posted a few videos on the class blog.
Did you see my post on Day 4 of the Lockdown of my Veggie Garden I planted? You have different plants in your garden to me. I hope they keep growing. I think the rain will help water them. It saves me a job at the moment.

Arianna - stories from home

Lovely to see your stories, Arianna.
I am pleased that you are helping at home, using
our Sunnyhills GEMS and that you have continued
with our learning about Time.
Keep up the great work!
