Lucas watched the video about the planet on YouTube yesterday, then drew a picture of the planet he remembered, and gave us an explanation.
From left to right in the picture are the moon, the earth and the sun, and there are stars around the earth. I like his colour scheme.
Today he and his brother Max did a small scientific experiment, put the ice cubes in hot and cold water, and observed which container of ice melted faster.
They found that the ice cubes put into the hot water melted faster, and expressed the findings in pictures and words. What a happy learning experience.
What a super scientists
ReplyDeleteFantastic science happening with the Room 10 learners.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you both working together on your ice-cube experiment and I like that you wrote down your findings too. Your poster of the earth, moon and sun is awesome Lucas!
ReplyDeleteReally cool experiment Lucas, I'm going to do that with my Dad soon! From Orlando
ReplyDeleteExcellent thinking Lucas and Max - I am inspired to go and do some science myself now! If you look on R11's blog I am making pizza dough - hopefully it will rise this morning! Mrs Trembath
ReplyDeleteThat was a ‘cool’ experiment you did together and you wrote down the results - just like a real scientist! Well done. I’m learning lots about planets thanks to the Sunnyhills Learners.

Nice work boys, budding little scientists! I love the way you have presented your work too. Very clear.
